Selfpay Ekg?

Is this mandatory? My doc mentioned it but its not on my list he gave me anywhere?? Im selfpay so I know some requirements arent needed

yes because they have to check your heart to make sure it is functioning properly. i was self pay also. i asked the hospital how much the ekg was and they told me $250 and i said ok because i dont want to go under and not be able to come back out due to a bad heart...

I was self-pay and right when I checked into the hospital, they did the EKG. It was included in my total fees to my surgeon. It seriously took 2 minutes.

just call the hospital and ask how much the ekg is.... also when you get bill call and ask for a 20% discount.....thats what i do for all my hospital bills that i self pay...i just found out that hospitals give you a 20% discount if you pay total bill off in one payment

My blood work & ekg were the only things not covered! He didnt even give me a referral!
