First Sprint Triathlon

So in a moment of craziness several months ago, I signed up for a Sprint Triathlon. Since I began my sleeve journey I have done several 5k's but nothing quite like this. Needless to say, I am freaking out. The triathlon is on Sunday and I am feeling very nervous.

Any advice???

Good for you on doing a bunch of 5K - great accomplishment

Don't overdue, You being nervous is ok, regular nerves

if you are too nervous/scared that it might be too much for you, thats ok too

Do what you can, if you can't complete, you did enough for you at this time

egads, i just "peaked" at your stats,

weighed 321 before WLS - now weight is 190 - how terrific is that, 20 lbs from goal - who knows the sky is the limit - go girl go

good luck

I know it's a little late but if you need any help, I can assist. I've done a number of sprint tris and now I'm training for my first full Ironman.

Thanks for the offer! I actually completed the tri in 1:31:55 which I thought was pretty respectable for my first one. I am looking at doing more next season, as there aren't many left this year due to running out of summer. I really have found that I enjoy doing the training and the actual race. I am going to contine to run and bike over the winter.

Congratulations on going for an Ironman!!! That seems like such a long distance to me right now. You have my utmost respect. Good luck!

If you have any training tips leading into summer, I would welcome them.
