Getting Vsg At 22

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I would post in the forum! I got approved today for an August 22nd date. I got lucky in the fact that my insurance was actually pretty easy to work with and I got approved the first time I applied. I'm enjoying reading everyone's stories on here and am very glad I am having the surgery before I head back to school in September!

  • usually i was told that i made a great decision by not waiting until i am older, which i agree with! if anyone gives you a hard time just remember they dont have to live inside your body!

  • Agreed! My surgeon does sleeves as young as 16.

  • Hey ladies! So glad we have a 20's something section on this forum. Other than having the surgery itself, it's kind of hard relating to other older members sometimes lol. I'm 24 and was sleeved this l

Definitely not alone. Took someone's advice of using a straw to help get in my water. Using it with small sips and seems to be helping a lot. Just remember the small sips part. Must say I am a little light headed today, hoping its nothing abnormal.

My surgeon gave me little shot cups they are 1 oz each she told me to drink it every 15 min. That way I get 4 oz an hour. For the past few days I would have to sip it like 4 times now I can take

It in 2 sips

They have me those too, and that's what I drank out of at the hospital. That's where I discovered my struggle to drink my water.

We aren't supposed to use straws so close out of surgery.... I would stop.... My surgeon also gave me those cups but if you have like a 1/2 cup measuring cup, I would use that instead

Hi guys! im 24, sleeveless at the moment! will hopefully have mine before xmas fingers crossed!

All of you that have had the sleeve... I know this might sound strange but what are your bodies like? Have you found you are a lot more confident now?! Other than weight loss what else has changed?

Would like to hear some stories from people!! Xx
