Golf After Sleeve?

So I am about 9-10 days out and I have a golf outing at my 3 week mark. I spoke to the nurse practitioner and they all want 4 weeks before starting any real exercise but I feel extremely good, never did have muscle pain, just annoyance form the drain which went away 1 week post op. The nurse said that I should listen to my body and to stop if it hurts if I wanted to play after a few weeks. I also have a little tenderness right now at my incision sites but nothing big. With well over a week of more healing, I want to play.

How soon has anyone tried to play (if anyone) after their surgery and what was your experience?

Hi

I'd be interested to see how you got on.

I was putting 4 days after surgery, I hit 3 1/2 swing drivers 7 days after (solid too lol) did 40 mins chipping practice 8 days after and hit about 10 3/4 wedges. No pain in stomach at all. But very wary about going all out.

My post op has been great, they used dermabond for 4 incision points. I only had pain med for about 18 hours after surgery none since and no other medications.

Your post was a while ago just wondering how you progressed. I am getting withdrawals from not golfing especially with all this time on my hands.

I have been playing since 3 1/2 weeks post op. doctor gave me the green light at 3 weeks. It's 3 weeks for your staple line to heal.
