Suddenly Nauseous

I'm 3 weeks out and everything has been going great, until tonight. All of a sudden I got a terrible headache and I feel like I might throw up. I take protonics for acid control, but it's not anything new. The nausea is unbearable, help! What's going on?

Diet change? Dehydration? New shake? Are you getting the flu?

I developed lactose intolerance after surgery and it got progressively worse. What started as a bit of nausea here and there became full blown sickness and digestive issues close to a month out. No headaches, though.

I'd make an appt. to see your doc or at least call the office. Better safe than sorry.

If you're not throwing up and not running a fever, I wouldn't worry so much about a leak/stricture, but do call your doc if this persists or if you develop any other symptoms.

I feel your pain/discomfort.... I had nausea and vomiting almost daily (if not multiple times day) for at least 3-4 mos afte surgery. I used Reglan when it was time to eat/drink and took Zofran 8mg at least 3 x a day. It was HELL but it eventually subsided- Mine was due more to slow healing inside due to my auto immune problems and having the band removed- there was an area that had a lot of scar tissue etc... I know it is hard but it will pass and you just have to keep on trecking on...

This far out Istill have days where I feel nauseated and even vomit certain foods but it is a live an learn.. overll- I wouldnt change a thing and go back to pre-before sleeve- EVER... GOod luck...

I had the exact same thing happen to me (I'm 6 weeks out) and I started adding G2 to my daily liquids - having that little bit of sodium & electrolytes helped me to process all that water better. Have been feeling much better since I added that.
