On surgery day, did you have to have a catheter? For some reason I've had a little fear of them (even though I've had one before, about 10 yrs ago) and I just want to prepare myself ahead of time. Thanks!

there are so many questions to ask your surgeon pre-WLS. This is one question i forgot to ask

i did have a catheter, it was removed almost immediately in my room after WLS

all dr.s are different though - ask your dr. "will you" or "will you" not have a catheter?

I did have one also. It was removed the morning after surgery. I dislike them too but no pain, just uncomfortable.

I didn't have one at all. Nothing to eat or drink at least 12 hours before
