  1. Dr umbach and his staff are great. He did my sleeve back in June and it couldn't have gone better He isn't the most talkative guy but he tells you what you need and gets the job done. Mindy is his insurance coordinator and is the best. She was also at the hospital the day of my surgery and was fantastic. She is also a patient of dr umbach so she can really relate to what you are going through. Good luck!
  2. You can't expect to jump right back to exercise like you did years ago. Ease into it slowly. I started with 10-15 minutes at a time and now an hour is no big deal. Doing something 3-4 times a week is key. Even if it's just pushing the vacuum around for a half an hour
  3. Had to take mine off. Having it resized once I reach goal
  4. mkamai posted a topic in Food and Nutrition
Looking for dessert options. Two months out and craving sweets even if it's just a bite or two. Any suggestions?
  5. 18 days of all liquid before surgery sounds really excessive to me. My surgeon didn't have a pre-op diet at all. Had a sandwich the night before surgery
  6. I'm about 7 weeks out and feel pretty good. I can eat anything but steak just very little of it. It sucked bad at first but definitely improves
  7. I know dr umbachs office has a support group. I haven't been to one but I've heard they have a good group
  8. You might be reacting to the pain meds. I was given liquid lortab and it made me itch like crazy
  9. I didn't have one at all. Nothing to eat or drink at least 12 hours before
  10. Do you mind posting examples of your daily food intake? You look great!
  11. Try something with fruit juice Most places have a bunch of different flavored of martinis that don't use bubbles
  12. That's awesome. We have a similar build. That makes me feel great seeing your after pics
  13. Add me. Mkamai1678 I use this app daily. Really helps me keep track of everything
  14. In hospital less than 24 hours. Could have gone home within 3 hours of surgery but it was late and my wife felt more comfortable with me staying overnite
  15. Does anyone else ever wonder if skinny people think about food all day? I am four weeks post today and it seems like I spend most of my day thinking about my diet and nutrition. Always worried about getting enough Protein etc. calories aren't concerning me at this point because I just can't seem to eat enough to get anywhere near my daily goal of around 1000. Do the ever present food thoughts go away with time? I'm not even hungry and haven't been since surgery, I force myself to eat something because I know I have to Any thoughts?
  16. Definitely feeling the same. At the same time not looking forward to watching everyone eat great BBQ and not being able to. Oh well worth the sacrifice
  17. Way to go Patrick. Take it slow the first few days for sure. You'll be up and about in no time
  18. Whenever I get that feeling I either eat a little bit of something or stop eating. I usually give it some time and it goes away. I due measure and keep track of what I'm eating. Just really concentrating on getting at least 60 grams of protein
  19. I had one fixed. Doctor said it is super common and not a big deal
  20. Good luck. Make that recovery your b***h!
