Jumping Through The Hoops

I am hoping to have some surgery sometime in October. I have already started the process so I am really excited about this. It feels right this time. Three years ago I attended a meeting and thought I'd give it one more shot on my own and now when I went to this current meeting I knew it was time.

I just wanted to get started with an online support group so once I do have my surgery I have a good group of people to pull knowledge from.

I keep thinking that in three months I will have a tool that will help me lose weight. I know it's a life long committment and I am feel I am truly ready. I have already been "practising" and have been making myself do a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise a day. I want to be so completely ready for when the time comes.

Welcome. You'll get lots of info & support here. I'm currently jumping through hoops as well & scheduled to be sleeved Oct 23.

Best wishes on your journey!

Hello and Welcome! I am pre-op as well, and I have a few more hoops to jump through before I get my sleeve. The VST community is a great place and a wealth of information. You'll enjoy it. I know I have. :) Good luck to you in your continued journey.

Welcome to the boards Sunchild. There are tons of amazing and very supportive people here, and I hope you find that same peace everyone else has in the many conversations we have all had.

Congratulations on beginning your new journey. It is a great feeling to feel that something is actually going right for a change. I wish you all the best and hope everything works out for you.

Hi I am new to this forum also. I am in the 2nd mo of my 3 mo weight loss attempt. I see the surgeon next Tuesday. It will be oct/nov before I can get the surgery if it is all approved. What a bunch of steps!! A lot of work to take a chance at not being approved by the insurance company. My PCP doesn't seem too interested in this process. I sure hope he does what is needed. My BMI is under 40 but I have the co morbidities. I will be glad when I walk through the waiting!
