When Did I Get Them?

Recommended Posts

My husband and I were play fighting today, which we often do, and out of no where he pulls a move never used on me before... He grabs my collar bone! I didn't know I had them... He told me they've been poking out a few weeks now. Went to the bathroom mirror to check... I'll be damned.. there they were. NSV number 1227... Lol...(or so it feels lol)

Stalls are temporary. This is when we notice changes in our body. I had one that lasted almost 4 weeks. Then it starts coming off again. 35 pounds is huge. Celebrate each pound. I do a little happy dance for each one

My collar bones were one of my first NSV's at about 20 pounds. I've definitely lost from the top down, as "they" say women do. When sitting at my desk at work, I often lean forward with my elbow on the desk, cross my arm across my chest and rest my hand on my chest/shoulder. The first time I felt that bone poking out it scared me. It takes a while to get used to!

Star, I've been big my entire life too. Now when I feel a new bone I worry it's going to break easily. There's always been so much cushioning! lol

Funny story about bones:

My dad has lost 50 pounds recently, probably now close to 100 from his highest weight, and I've never seen him so skinny! Last week we were just watching TV and he started poking at his chest. He said, jokingly, "Kelly, I never knew I had a bone here." I started laughing hysterically. I think he thought I was making fun of him because he sheepishly said "I'm just kidding. I knew I did." When I finally stopped laughing I told him it was funny because I've been saying that a lot lately, discovering bones and whatnot. So we started comparing where we feel those hard pointy things sticking out. So funny! And exciting for both of us! I only remember him as being a BIG guy.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
