Can Someone Share Their Soft Texture Menu?

I just don't know what to eat anymore, everything I put in my mouth it comes back up. Please, I need help. I am 23 days post-op.

My nutritionist said I could eat any soft textured food that I could chew in my mouth until it was a pureed texture before I swallowed it. Here's what she suggested for starters:

Egg salad, chicken salad, tuna salad, baked fish without breading, the inside of a baked potato, well cooked rice or Pasta, thin shaved deli meats, most lunch meats and hot dogs, any cheese without nuts or seeds, macaroni and cheese, soft fresh fruit (no peels, large seeds or membranes like an orange), well cooked vegetables, and soft casseroles like tuna noodle casserole, enchiladas, and lasagna.

Try taking a look at "The World According to Egg Face" for more ideas. Here's a link to her blog. Look under "links and resources" for her pureed foods ideas.

I hope this helps!

Thank you, if you don't mind me asking how far post op are you? I am 23 days and the only thing that settle well in my stomach are yogurt and protein shakes and I am tired of both of them. I have tried chicken salad, egg, mashed potatoe and nothing set well in my stomach.

Have you tried refried beans? I'm almost a month out and the foods that sit the best wtih me are: yogurt, cottage cheese, the ricotta cheese bake and refried beans with a little sour cream.

Are you allowed to have low fat cheese? Weight Watchers has a great tasting smoked string cheese.

Karen, I did try refried beans and the can is still in my refrigerator. They didn't set well either, chest pain right after I ate the beans and a minute later they came back up.

Shun, that cheese is good and it settle ok. I am just tired of yogurt, cheese and protein shakes. I am just worry, should I be able to eat something else without those feelings?

I understand. :-( My nutri guide says that I can eat hot cereal ( grits my Fav) and egg whites. Mush foods are very limited as well. I am sorry.
