I am 3 weeks out from surgery this coming Monday. I had pain that started yesterday and today seems pretty unbearable. The pain is higher up than any incisions. It's on the right side right over one of my ribs. It is tender when I touch it and feels like a stabbing pain when I breathe. Have others had this problem? And of course it had to happen on a Saturday over a 3 day weekend. Grrrr

Call your Dr immediately. Even on a holiday, they should be available on-call.

May be gallbladder issues. Dont wait till it gets worse.

Did they remove your gallbladder during surgery? It sounds like gallbladder to me too. I had mine removed a few years ago and they sometimes take your gallbladder out during surgery if it's showing signs of issues, but issues do happen after the sleeve.

I called and left a message with my surgeons nurse. Luckily (I guess) I had my gallbladder out 8 years ago. The pain is right around the area of my gallbladder. I am assuming they will tell me it's a muscle thing. To me it feels like I cracked a rib. I wouldn't worry if it didn't hurt when I took a breath. We will see. Thanks for your thoughts!
