So Nervous

We leave in exactly 10 hours to fly out to San Diego. I am nothing but a ball of nerves right now. I have a few things that I need to get done before we leave out at 3 am, but I cant seem to get moving.... My stomach hurts... *TMI ALERT* but when I get nervous I get the beegee (aka bubble guppies aka bubble guts aka the sh**s)...and I know before we leave I will be paying several trips to the bathroom...

Help me calm down... I know I want this surgery...have no issues with going to Mexico....so what is the matter with me?

it is major surgery. It is normal to be nervous. If you are religious, I'd say a prayer. Prayer calmed me down because it helped remind me that I knew this was the right choice for me. If that doesn't

Who is your surgeon? Where are you staying in Mexico?

I just got back yesterday. No need to be that nervous, you will be treated like royalty.

If that doesn't apply to you, just try some deep breathing and writing down the reasons you're doing this and try to stay busy to keep your mind off of it.

Yep. They are all great at Mi Doctors. Use the time at the hotel to relax by the pool and enjoy the comfy beds/pillows! Lol

I plan to since it is not often that I have quiet time...with seven kids and a dog running around the house!!!

I'm going to Dr Kelly on June 14. Been talking to a lot of his patients and very happy with that but nervous overall.

Good luck to you!! The whole thing is just nerve wracking!

Just curious, do you have a plan to keep your dogs and kids off your stomach? I've been worrying about that a bit.

Fortunately, I only have two little ones (3 years and 18 months). I know they wont understand, but I think that the older ones will help me with that. I have already explained to all of them that mommy is going to be really sore when I get home and wont have the energy that I used to have (which isnt much) but pretty soon, I will be even better than before.... so I have enlisted the help of the 16 and 13 year old to help out in that department

Breathe and take this one minute at a time! :-) You are not alone. This is a such a rollar coaster of emotions and I remember wanting to rip my iv out and run before they took me back. Soon it'll all be behind you and celebrating your new healthy life!! Wishing you nothing but the best!!
