Help: Lump In My Throat

I started the post-op protien shake part of my regime as doctor stated. I had 3 oz of muscle milk and have a lump in my throat. Am I taking in to much? It's my first day. It's a miserable feeling. Any advice welcome!!!

It sounds like you are drinking too fast.

Also- I was taking a small pill for esophegeal spasms for the first month and that was susposed to help throat issues- like lumps and difficulty swallowing. If you are not taking one- ask your Dr.

There are a number of things early on. I still get the odd lump in the throat due to reflux. Have they got you on reflux meds?

I just realized I was supposed to be taking Prilosec. I went and bought some and am starting it tomorrow. I don't think I'm eating to fast. It took me 30 min to get down 3oz and I'm using a baby spoon to make sure I'm not taking big bites.
