Major Case Of The Blues.

Hi all. Been a while since posted. Anyone else after surgery get a major case of the blues. I am week six and for three days now have been at rock bottom. So sad all I do is cry all day. I can't talk with anyone cause I don't know myself y I feel like this. I still can't eat or drink much and haven't really slept in three days.

I am in total dispare and really am quiet scared as this is deeply effecting my relationship and my work.

Please share with me.

Just because you do not understand it does nto mean you cant talk about it....actualy talking about that aspect of it would be a good place to start. it happened to me, too.

I agree with Pookey - maybe talking will help you to get the root of what's going on. You should not be attempting to handle this on your own or "waiting" until it goes away. Please, please, please TALK to somebody. The fact that you haven't slept in 3 days can be a major factor in worsening your depression too. I've battled this at times, and it's good you reached out here, but that's not enough. Get help for yourself right away so you can start to get back to who you wanna be! Good luck, and I send you a healing hug!!

The surgery and subsequent massive diet change are enough to throw anyones system in a tizzy. Also see your doc about possibly getting a anti depressant too. Just be careful and work with your health professional to make sure you only take what's needed and try and get off it once it's not.

I take a supplement called 5-HTP which is supposed to work a bit like Paxil in supporting the seritonin level. Three is also St. John's Wort that does the same.

Please seek counseling and a physicians advice on this PRONTO. We all wish you the best in your journey!

I agree. Get to a psychologist or therapist ASAP. It's good that you are posting and recognizing you need help. You shouldn't be miserable! I hope you start feeling better soon! Keep us posted.
