I am 6 months post-op and have lost almost 100 pounds. I’ve noticed in the past few weeks that when I bend over from the waist and then straighten back up I have the sensation that something inside my lower abdomen is moving back into place. I’m in my mid-50’s, been through menopause, and have had two C-sections. It kind of feels the same as when I was pregnant and the baby moved. The feeling only lasts a few seconds and only occurs after I bend over. Has anyone else had this happen? Any ideas what this could be?

No idea what the funny feeling is .... but 6 months out and down 100 pounds and in your mid-50s???

I do have the same sensation!!! It feels like a baby movement. And I'm only 2 weeks out.

I get that feeling often, without bending over. I have had four babies so I know it well. It is very off putting when it happens! Feels like one turning a flip to me. I will just gasp. I have no idea what it is though.

No kidding! You are a super sleever!!! Do you have lose skin? I sure do. You say it's internal though. I did find a thread that's close to what you describe, but no answers - so it's not uncommon.

Just out of curiosity, are you going to readjust your goal are are you stopping at the 100. There was a thread about goals awhile back. I'm somewhere around a 34 BMI and could be happy here, but I'm going down to a 24 BMI (I think that's what it was) just because there are things I need to do before I get too old like rafting the Colorado river, hiking up Mt. Whitney, hiking Yosemite to Tuolumne Meadows, hiking 12 miles in and out of Supai in the Grand Canyon area and other things. I'm 47 BTW and I need to be in better shape than this.

Man! WOW! from a BMI in to 50s to the 30s. You are an inspiration!

It really is none of my business, but there seems to be a frankness about the community here that I like.

I had my surgery 6 months ago but started losing on my own last June. I began counting Weight Watcher points then (didn't go the meetings but had in the past)and still continue to do so even after the surgery. If I don't I can easily gain. For example this past weekend I went on a mini vacation and didn't keep track; this morning I'd gained 3 pounds.

Yes, I have lots of loose skin. Which is one reason why I'm going to just try to maintain after I get to my 100 lb. goal. I don't want to have any further surgery. I feel so much better; my arthritic knees feel great and I can get around without limping now. My goal wasn't to get to a "normal" BMI, it was to get healthy. Hopefully this funny feeling I get is no big deal and I'll live a long, happy and healthy life.

I don't have a sensation like that now, but I used to. For me, the difference was scar tissues. I had a LOT of scar tissue removed when I was sleeved. It has made all the difference in the world. I use to feel a lot of weird things before it was removed. Sometimes if I turned, or sat at an angle, I'd feel something sort of jump out place inside, then (maybe immediately, maybe after a few minutes) "snap back" into place. Sometimes I'd feel a weird something almost as described above - reminded me of when I was preggo and DD would kick. (I always assumed it was scar tissue somehow causing a reponse in a muscle). I could feel the scar tissue from the outside. Sometimes if I accidentally pushed on it (like the pressure from a book when I would read in bed and propr the book on my stomach), it would hurt surprisingly bad. Sometimes when I bent over, it felt almost like my stomach or something was folding in half. Fairly painful, and I'd try to stand up rq because it just seemed like a really unpleasant trip down sensation road that I wanted to avoid (defnitely seemed like it had the potential to get worse if I didn't stop).

I can't say for sure all of those were the result of something from the scar tissue/adhesions, but they're now 100% gone.

I feel 100% better too and I figured you had a good reason for your goal. I am terrified of plastics, but there is no doubt that I will need the lower stomach skin removed. I can live with the bat wings, the skin on the inside of my upper thighs and even my boobs looking like tube socks. I cannot stand the hanging stomach now and I have a little over 50 pounds to go. I'm seeing my dermatologist today on a seperate issue, but I'm going to start documenting the problems it's causing.

I think you'll be great. Even after 30 pounds my BP, sugar and cholesterol all went within normal ranges. My knees felt better too. Everything is better.
