When Will I Ever Learn?

I am a little over 5 weeks post op. In the past week and a half, I have thrown up at least 6 times. I threw up just this morning when I tried to eat half of an egg mcmuffin (no muffin) I tried to eat just half of the egg, cheese and ham. Yesterday, I was on liquids only.

I threw up about .5 ounces of boiled cod. I once took two bites of watermelon and threw up right away. I tried to eat 1 oz of deli roasted sliced chicken and threw that up.

I realize now that a few times it may have been overeating but now I am afraid to eat food. I have transitioned back to Soups and shakes only. This weekend I ate no actual Protein outside of shakes because I just couldnt keep anything down.

Feeling very down and discouraged. I am hoping this is not how it is going to be from now on. Hungry but can't eat.

Life just doesn't seem to be as simple as it used to be.....

You're doing the right thing by stepping back to liquids until your sleeve can tolerate more. You are having too much nausea, tho, I think. I'm afraid you will dehydrate moreso than anything. Maybe a call or visit to your doctor is in order? Hope you feel better!
