I was blown away by the latest news. Like for many, this case has haunted me in many ways over the last 10 years. I hope, in fact, this guy Karr is the killer and it will be proven beyond any doubt (I understand they got DNA from evidence in 2003...and if it matches this guys' DNA...then it will pretty much be the forensic proof that is required). It will all be on Larry King Live tonight....so that show should explain a few things.

If he is the killer, it is too bad that Patsy passed away before knowing the truth.

It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out....at what (if any) prior relationship this guy had with the family. I know, I, for one, will easily admit that I have strongly suspected the family (one or both parents) for the longest time.

I wonder if he will be charged with interfering with an investigation? I know that it took time and money to get a warrant, to get him back to the states, then to Boulder. I also know that others have been charged with something similar for holding up an investigation. I thought he had other warrants against him, that's why he was overseas. ~Mandy

Certainly sounds like the guy has more than a couple of issues.

I thought he had already ben charged with kiddie porn in CA. I thought he broke probation and that is what they were looking for him for. The probation was about the child porn charge. I will see if I can find the link. ~Mandy

When I heard he uprooted his family and moved to the city where that poor little Polly (cant recall her last name) lived and was abducted from I began to have doubts. He had a fascination with her murder and obviously with JonBenet's murder too. That man needs serious help. The sad thing is that sex offenders who go to prison dont always get help. I have an acquaintance who spent 7 yrs in prison for aggravated sexual assault of a minor. He never got any counselling. And because of the political climate here in Texas towards sex offenders, he was denied for parole 3 times so that he was forced to serve his entire sentence. When he was released he was "free to go", he just has to register every year. Ironically, had he been released on parole, he would have had court ordered counselling and accountability to a parole officer. It doesnt make sense.. I understand wanting him to serve his entire sentence.. but why no mandatory counselling either in prison or after release?? Go figure...

Why is it that some stories just keep going and going? Maybe her name should have been JonBenet Timex.

Did anyone know that the same day that the Central Park Jogger was raped (and left for dead), that less than two miles away, another women was forced (by knife or gun, I forget) to ride the elevator to the roof of a tall building, stripped, raped and thrown from the roof? As she fell, she was saved by becoming entanged in the cable TV wires strung between buildings. She was rescued by people who dragged her from the wires stark naked.

Why didn't that story get any press? Why was the Central Park Jogger's story so much more important?

Is it the media or the people? Chicken or egg?

I guess by now everyone is aware that John MarK Karr was released with all charges dropped on all the cases against him.
