Itchy Incisions

I had surgery on 4/10. My stitches are itching. Anyone else have this problem. If so what did you do?

I had my surgery on 4/4 and mine are driving me nuts!

As long as the incisions are closing okay then you could put something on them. (Lotion? No perfumed kind though - might irritate them) I used Avon's Skin so Soft bath oil gel on mine and that helped. But, if they are not closing up yet ask your doctor for sure.

Mine itched for probably 2-4wks after surgery. I just kept them clean and applied Neosporin about twice a day. It gets better once they heal.

Thank you. I wasn't sure if I could put something on them.

I have no stitches. I have 5 incisions and my surgeon used glue. I had surgery on the 9th and they aren't itchy at all. Wonder if they'll get itchy??

Mine aren't stitches mine are incisions with glue on them as well but they are itching up a storm.

If they are itchng that means they are healing and just leave them alone maybe some hydrocortisone cream or neosporin but no lotion or anything else it's better that they stay dry !
