So far I've lost 13 pounds since starting Protein Shakes and following my NUTs advice....I met with her at the beginning of March....

I've switched from half & half in my coffee to 1% milk, swapped out the vanilla for sugar free, I'm still using up my regular white chocolate because I didn't want to waste it : )

I still crave so much food though and I'm still hungry!! I can't wait to be post op!

I know I feel amazing that I've lost weight but I know if I don't have this surgery I will go back to eating like crap...

Anyone else like this?

Yup. I could have written that same post when I was on pre op liquids. I lost 15 in that two weeks.

My husband said "well, don't hit me or anything, but why couldn't you keep doing this instead of having the surgery?" I just had no words to answer him. Someone on here said it perfectly: "Can you hold your breath for one minute? Sure. Can you hold it for the rest of your life???"

You'll do great. The motivation to stay on the liquids once you get there is this: If you don't- the surgeon could cancel your surgery if he sees conditions are not right- or- he could convert to an open incision surgery. NO THANKS! I did not take ONE sip or bite of ANYthing I was not supposed to. You can do a LOT more than you think you can. Trust me! ;)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
