I had my surgery in Mexico and flew home just 4 days later. I think it's common for those having surgeries out of their area to fly home soon after, so I'd say

"yes".

It depends on how far you are flying. If you are planning an overseas flight that would be 8 hours or more then I would say wait.....but I flew home 5 days after my surgery but it was only a 3 hour flight

I did fine on a 3 and a half hour flight 3 days post op. I had to make sure to sip plenty of water though or I am pretty sure I would have gotten sick.
