Pepper?

Is course black pepper ok in the first stages? Or is it to much like a seed? How long are seeds off limits?

I love pepper, but personally I would treat it as a seed. My surgeon allowed seeds at the same time as I was permitted a full diet, which for me was 4 weeks.

You know, I never worried about pepper or any other spices and I didn't have an issue. But if you're really concerned, shoot a quick email or make a call to your surgeon's office.

I too would advise caution - you'll never again (hopefully) have to go through this type of restriction again - so let it heal up good and solid before you start putting things that have potential for harm in it.
