I was able to have cheese on soft/mushy foods. I had it melted in soup in the full liquid phase. Its really up to your post-op diet, how you feel and whether your stomach will tolerate it.

I'm 2 weeks and 3 days out and I have eaten cheese. Yummm lol. I get the low fat weight watchers string cheese. It's so yummy. I just take small little bitty peices and chew it like a million times. Good source of protein too. I also love Babybel cheeses as well as laughing cow. They are really soft and easy to get down.

I was able to have cheese sticks and spreadable cheese at soft food stage and cottage cheese at pureed cheese. Now I am on regular foods and have at least 4 oz. a day of any kind. No problems.
