crushing pills -----help

I had my 2nd fill and I have to crush my pills. I take a huge heart pill and several small pills and I just can't find anything to put my heart meds in that doesn't taste so bitter that I can't swallow. I need to take these heart meds. Any suggestions.

Thanks,:help:

How about sugar-free chocolate pudding or even just sugar-free chocolate syrup? I think chocolate has a *thicker* taste and covers the nasties a little better.

Good luck!

My dr. suggested one spoonful of my favorite ice cream....my treat for the day and you sure don't notice the crushed pill. :)

I've got more restriction in the mornings, so I take my meds at night and don't have to crush them. Maybe you could try that? (if it doesn't matter what time of day to take them)

Thanks guys....

My favorites --- chocolate, ice cream and peanut butter. Makes taking my pills sound great.

I appreciate the info...

I chew a piece of pretzel until it's a mushy consistency, put the pill in the center, and down it goes without a problem.
