1-Month Post Surgery And Am Pleased

Yesterday was my 1-month post dr visit. They were pleased with my results 28% of my body fat is gone and my BMI is 38.6! YAY!!! I am finally allowed to exercise...another big YAY!

I asked them what my goal weight was...they responded 170. I was kinda shocked because I thought it would be 150.

What was your doctor's goal and what is your goal?

Mine is 155...I cannot remember when I weighted that; maybe junior high?

I think that the doctors goal is usually a certain percentage of your body fat gone (I think it's 60-70%, I'm not sure on the exact figure though) so if you lose that much, in the eyes of the medical community- your sleeve has been a success!

Moonsiren- 150? That seems so low for a 6 foot tall female! I'm 5'7" and my 'normal' weight and goal weight are 147lbs.

How tall are you? I'm 6'0 and was told mine is 175 but I want to get down to 150 as well.

I'm 5'7''

ummmmmm. my surgeon didn't tell me any target weight. I asked my NUT recently and determined my target goal to be 130 lbs. I'm 5'6". So I have about 33 lbs to go. I can do it with perservaration. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I'm goin rock my sleeve until I get there!. ;)
