Questions For Bronx, Ny Wls

I am worried and would like to calm myself down. I understand that my question may be to private but I really need to be able to relate to some one. So here it goes. I have chose to have this surgery because of my diabetes and the health problems that come with it. It has taken me a year to get my doctors to approve me for surgery. While I was looking for the clearence I was geting more problems and now that my surgery is a go I am worried about my out come. Who else out there have many problems before sugery.

My list is as follows:

I am diabetic on a insulin pump

I had 4 TIAs that I know of and a stroke that I did not know I had until my MRI

I also have a narrowing on the left side of my brain

and a possible blockage in my heart that is being watched because I don't have chest pain

Also sleep apnea which has made my sleep time a battle with the cpap machine. I never had a problem before I slept like a baby before and dream some good thoughts, now I get only 2 hours of sleep and no dreams. Can you share your success or if you are going thru the same thing?

Surgery date 2/9/12

Hey!

Just wanted to throw a little support your way. I'm from the Bronx, and I was sleeved in Sept@ Lawrence hospital by Dr. Miguel Silva. I have not had the same health problems, only gallstones, and hiatal hernia which have only improved since surgery. Most aliments tend to improve after the weight loss, but maybe put this post in the "Pre op questions" section of the board which gets a little more traffic. Good Luck to you, and feel free to msg me during your journey. take care
