Hi-
Saw this article talking about a Swedish study of WLS patients and their decreased risk of heart attacks. It does not include VSG, but there is a good message about WLS being linked to a longer, healthier life. It was also interesting that they said the health affect were not necessarily linked to the amount of weight lost. Good results in health were found even when the weight loss was not as high.
Of course, they lump all the procedures into "gastric bypass" in the article title. There is also a dismal weight loss average without saying which procedure yeilded best results, how many were revised, etc. Most of them were banded.
Interesting.
