Very New Here! Surgery Date Is Set :)

Hello! I came across this website and fell in love! I'm set to have my surgery on February 8th :) I am oh soo nervous about it! I am only 18 which is everyone's biggest concern, but I also think it's better for me to have this done sooner than later.. Anyways, I was just wondering if there was anything I needed to know ahead of time. Post op, or even before. I have tried to prepare as best as I can but I feel like I need to do more. If y'all have anything you think I should know please let me know! :) I'm excited to start this journey and look forward to seeing everyone's success on here!

If you're not taking vitamins yet, start taking them now. Getting in the habit is difficult. The more exercise and strength training you can do now, the better. You'll need those muscles post op. My hospital gave me a binder to wear the day of my surgery and that helped me so much with getting in and out of bed. Lifesaver! Hydrate as much as possible the days leading up to surgery and stick to that diet. What an exciting journey. I wish you all the best.

Welcome and good luck with your surgery. There is loads of information here, with the added bonus of the btdt (been there done that). Many of us can give you our view points. I agree with the above, vitamins and excercise. Best of luck to you, and keep us updated.
