I'm wondering what I should use post op, Tylenol or Advil?

I believe Advil is a no-no for a while post-op. My surgeon said the best bet is Rapid-Release Tylenol! Do NOT use extended release on anything!

Go with the sleeve I was told

I was instructed to use liquid tylenol after surgery. At my 6 wks checkup with surgeon, he said I could take Advil in moderation.

I was actually told by my surgeon that advil is fine with the sleeve as long as you take it with food. If you can't take it with food than you can take it with a teaspoon of pepto. There are a lot more restrictions with the by-pass than the sleeve, which is why I chose the sleeve. Some surgeon's say "never this or that" but the majority of things are allowed.
