I am 4 days post op and extremely sore on my left side , the nurses said its where they had to go in to staple my stomach.. I was wondering if anyone else experienced pain on their left side and how long it last?

I had my surgery on sept.26. It is the right side for me that hurts. I'm sure it's normal because that is the biggest incision place. today is the first day that there is little pain It only

hurts getting up from laying down. Everyone i talk to about the pain has said ...just wait it out because one day it wont hurt.. I hope you feel better soon.

Yes! All of my pain was on the left. It was where my largest incision was. Where they pulled out the excess stomach. It lasted around 2 weeks. But did improve slowly each day.
