stomache tightness when eating

It seems that every time I eat lately I feel a tightening up at the top of the stomache, It has been happening for about a week now and I wondering if anyone else is having the same thing. It doesn't matter what I eat or drink it happens. It has been 7 weeks since my surgery.

I get that feeling, it may well just be from adding new foods back into your diet it takes a bit for the food to move into the smaller stomach - sort of back ups. Try eating a little slower and smaller bites.

I think I have been eating too fast and need to concentrate more on eating slower and the size of the bites I am taking. Thanks for the reply I guess I just needed someone else to tell me what I knew I was doing wrong.

You are right, you need to slow down. I am 10 months out and still have the same feeling if I eat to fast. In fact, on occasion, because of eating too fast, I have ended up eating too much and it causes a lot of pain. I do not recommend it! Good luck!
