you talkin' to me? :P Just got back. I'm feeling travel fatigue and slight headache, but it's great to be home. Very minimal discomfort. Thinking about things I'd normally be eating right now and how large a change it's going to be....

I am also a Sept 22nd sleever.

I am doing well, much better than I had expected to be doing. Had a bit of bad first night with some throwing up, but a few pain killers and nausea medication and that settled, and I slept through the night dispite being in the ICU, and other patients having to be resubmitted to surgery and whole heap of things going on. Since then it has been getting better and better. I have minimal bruising and almost none on my stomach. I am starting pureed food today and so far that has gone ok, though eatting such small amounts. Even went to the movies yesterday and enjoyed my Water instead of Snacks.

Hope others are going as well.

I had surgery Thursday morning too. Had to stay an additional night in the hospital due to nausea, but was able to come home Saturday night. Glad that phase is over! Phew!

I've been getting my 64oz of fluids, but not my Protein. Can't stomach the Protein drinks yet...barely could before surgery! lol

Aussiegirl, I'm jealous you are already on pureed. I have another week of liquids, then can move to mushies/pureed.

update:

nighttime cravings are kicking in, HARD. knew before surgery i had a bad habit, but didn't realize how much a part of my actual sleep routine it had become. wow. really missing the little sumpin' sumpin' comfort bedtime snack. sigh. g'nite all.

Dont be jealous of the puree's, I felt like it started a bit early and went back onto liquids again today just to give myself some more time to recover. Will try some thocker things tommorow I think.

Hope you are recovering well.

having minor bout of nausea today. managing to drink apple juice and chicken broth, but not much else. maybe some jello later. the thought of any kind of protein supplement today is revolting. bad headaches woke me up a couple of times last night, but gone by the time i woke up. very tired.
