Dr didn't give me a surgery date...

This is gonna be sweet & quick. Or rather sour & quick.

I went to see my surgeon today. He & the psych decided that I need to attend an emotional eating class. And follow the pre op diet in my handbook. And exercise everyday. And lose 20lbs. And come back in 2 months. And then I will get a date. As long as all of the above has been accomplished.

I am sorry that your sugery is being delayed. Was there something in the pysch eval for them to want you to attend an emotional eating class? This is hard and I found that even though I did not think I was an emotional eater, I do have issues when I am bored and find that I want to constantly graze. There was some underlying food issues I did not realize. Think of this as one more step that will help you to make the sleeve successful for you. Hang in there!

Yeah, it is all required...I was just feeling down because I want this done- yesterday! But, after a few days of thinking, I know the delay is best! I have started on my pre op diet, and I'm looking forward to my new lifestyle changes!

I do think I am an emotional eater :( Good, bad, sad, happy or glad- I want to eat. I'm looking forward to the class, now to help me find other alternatives to eating at every emotion.

Thanks, again, for the encouragement! I needed that :))
