possible surgery site infection

Hi guys I thought I was healing nicely but before i went to school the insicision site where they removed my stomach the biggest one had alot of drainage and now it looks kind of yellow and green. I have had trouble with healing when I go to culinary school with the sites rubbing against my pants and hitting the sink when I am doing dishes leaning against the sink. It is irrated but not bright red or hot to the touch. It just looks bad. Also I put baindaids on them and this seems to make it worse kind of tearing the scab off. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks nina

When I met with my aftercare Dr, he told me to watch for the green/yellow discharge as it is a sign of infection and I would need to be seen

That's the last to heal, at least it is for me. The gooey green/yellowish drainage is normal as it heals from the inside out. Wash area daily with antibacterial soap, pat dry, then cover with gauze lightly taped. I found band-aids not the best, because they don't let enough air in. Definitely don't use cotton as it gets stuck to the goo then dries. If the wound area gets more red around it and gets painful and swells, then see a doctor about an infection there. it really shouldn't form a scab until it is small enough to close.

Thanks guys I decided to not chance it and went to urgent care they put me on oral antibiotics and an antibiotic cream. The doc said he is glad I came in and I did the right thing. I am glad I am going to heal soon. Thanks everyone ;)

Good work, sugarmamma. That's taking care of yourself.
