H.Pylori virus

Just a word of advise/caution for all you pre op ladies and gents........If u happen to come down with this stomach lining virus when they do ur blood test and the doctor wants to give you the HELIDAC THERAPY antibiotic for it......have them give you something else!!!!....this antibiotic (flagyl) is known to cause seizures and the docs know it..........it gave me a seizure (on day 7 of taking them) , now i have to take anti seizure med's, ( and they are no picnic), lost my driving privilege for 6 months (state law when u have seizures) and had to re schedule my surgery date..................trying to save someone else from this head ache...

That is terrible. I hope all turns out well for you.

Flagyl is brutal. I got prescribed it once when I had a nasty flare-up of my ulcerative colitis and it make me sicker than a dog. I will NEVER take it again.

Had that Flagyl before. Doctors: Zofran didn't help!!! Stop prescribing it, PLEASE!

OMG I hope you feel better soon and I hope you get your wheels back sooner than 6 months. Feeling crappy sucks but when you lose your independance on top of it THAT sucks even more. Feel better soon!
