why do i torture myself?

So I haven't had any weight loss in 2 weeks.I don't know if this is a stall. I did have my period last week and actually gained a couple of pounds, which I expected but did not like. Anyways, I weight myself monday morning and was back down to 204. And lately I have been doing really good with weighing myself just once a week. But today, stupid me decide to see if I lost anymore weight and weigh myself after being up and about for 9 hours and was not happy to see the scale say 206. I don't know why I did that to myself. I always weigh myself in the morning. Now I'm scared to weigh again.

The scale can be tough! Of course you weigh more later in the day. Everyone does. No big deal.

I weigh every morning, but I only track my weight on Fridays. I weigh first thing in the morning wearing the same thing. A lot of people are tracking measurements and clothing fit as well. I do notice sometimes that my weight is staying around the same, but clothing is mysteriously fitting differently.

I'm postmenopausal, but I see women who are still having their periods report it can really affect even weekly weigh ins. Even without a period, may weight goes up and down over the week.

I hear ya, I love/hate my scale depending on the news it gives me! Isn't it weird how one number can influence how you feel? Even though I tell myself, it isn't just the number...it is inches, how my clothes feel, energy level etc etc... the scale still messes with my head. Sometimes if I have been weighing myself a lot I will have my husband hide it for awhile- I feel like a child who can't control themselves but, hey, it helps!

Today was suppose to be my weight day but I was so scared to see no weight loss that I didn't weight myself, lol. It has definitely mess with my head. Since I have not been losing weight the past weeks I feel FAT, i'm not seeing the wonderful progress I've made I just see what needs to improve. I know logically that's crazy. I was able to fit into a dress that i've not been able to fit for years and that made me very happy and I have to remind myself of that. We give that scale too much power over us.

Are you keeping track of your measurements? That's important to do because during stalls we are often losing inches, as you noticed with clothes fitting looser.
