Surgery in two days!

Hi all,

You all have been very inspiring....especially the July Firecrackers! My thoughts are all over the place. I'm a believer in God so that part is beilieving for the best, the other part is trying not to go "there"! I have two beautiful daughters that I worked very hard to get from China and want to be here for them as their "first moms" could not. So I'm on day 2 of liquid diet (my surgeon has us do 3 days). I feel full of fluid but hungry at times, my brain keeps tricking me to go to the fridge...oh I can't eat that piece of left over steak! We are such creatures of habit and my brain has not caught up with reality! I wish I could do something else to fix this LIFE LONG battle but onward and upward...I want to dance at my girls weddings...not be in a wheel chair! I do wonder what kind of body I will have as I started this journey at over 400lbs....guess everyone may have to love a sharpey puppy! Part of me wants to be exicted about a new body and part of me is horrified to see what I will look like....if there is any prayers out there my surgery is Thurs...I would appreciate a few words for me!

Thanks for listening, Tracy W.

Ill be praying sweetie! I know what you mean I want to be there for my kids, but by doing this we will be there for them and more healthier! Will be thinking of you.....

May God bless you and soothe your heart. I too have children and we can look forward to a more active future with them. Congradulations on your surgery

Hi Tracy,

My surgery is in 6 days & I can definitely understand where you're coming from. It's an exciting yet somewhat nervewracking feeling, at least that's what I'm feeling. I think you're going to be so glad you did this not only for yourself but your daughters as well. My thoughts are with you!! Good luck and I'm sure it will be great!
