Hi
This is my first time posting, although I've been lurking around here (and lap band talk) for weeks. Everyone on here is so nice, helpful, informative, and supportive. Well, I have been struggling with the decision on whether to get the lap band or the gastric sleeve. After my consultation, and after attending a support group and a seminar, and after exploring these forums, I have confidently decided on the sleeve. Yay!! I had my blood work done on Monday. The lady called me today to tell me that my white blood cell count was high. She asked me if I was sick or had an infection of some kind. I told her that I feel fine. I ended up having to go today to get more blood drawn and get a urinalysis. Any ideas on why my count would be high, and/or how I could not know I have an infection of some kind? Could this delay my surgery? I really want to have this done before I return to school (I'm a teacher).
