4 DAYS POST-Op

Hello. Had sleeve surgery on 6/27/11. Started stage 2 today., had cottage cheese and yogurt this morning for breakfast. This is the first day I started feeling weak. Has anyone felt this way? What did you do?

Hi- welcome back...

weak yes- oh mY!

still... and dizzy... and I rather not eat...

I feel good between meals... after I have digested and before I get hungry.

right now, not working it is ok... but when I go back- I hope things get better.

how I am dealing... I follow the instructions... Water... and eat on time- and the right foods...

It was suggested to me yesterday to exercise, I did walk last night, and had no dizziness, however fell asleep by 10 and woke around 8 am... I am sleeping so much better after surgery...

your early on, it does get better... The yogurt and cottage cheese was my fav. food for ease and digestion.

Neil

Had surgery same day as you. I had a few additional complications so I am actually back on Clear liquids after a bad experience with yogurt. Anyway, today is the weakest day by far- hoping to get in a lot of Water as I am sure it will help. I can only hope everyday gets a little easier...are you in a lot of pain? I am ok as long as I am lying down but getting up is torture so walking is not high on my list.

Good luck to you and I hope we can compare as time goes on!

my first three weeks were horrible and I was weak with being dizzy and everything. but on the 4th week I woke up a new woman. And its been 10 months and 115 pounds nothing but awesomeness(if that is still a word.):D

Pain is drifting away. Walking has helped alot with that believe it or not. When i dont walk i feel too stiff. YES AWESOMNESS IS STILL A WORD IN MY BOOK! ; ) so glad to hear that! I cant wait to be a new woman again too.

I had my surgery on 6/27 also :)

How many grams of Protein are you getting in? I felt a little weak yesterday but today I started pureed foods and i am really trying to up the protein. Like with a can of chicken Soup I added 4 oz. of frozen cooked chicken cubes (target) and then pureed it all.

I rested a lot today but tomorrow plan to go in to work for 4 hours so I can see how that goes, i'll have Friday-Monday to recover if it kicks my butt :)

I'm bored silly! Daytime TV is awful, I can't do much in the way of housekeeping or clothes shopping (waiting to go down a few sizes for that!) and I figure I'd rather get the hours back (i'm using vacation time) so that I can use them for FUN later on ;) I have a desk job, and with today being the start of a holiday weekend there won't be much happening...so I figure it'll be ok :) and if not I can leave.

i also scheduled a haircut for after work, and hopefully this long weekend I'm gonna do a mani-pedi.....I feel like I want to start off fresh on this new adventure :) I've been letting myself go, i found it easy to do as I was so heavy......I'm going to change that for sure!
