  1. I am finally lost down to 186 and I was over 300. so I have lost about 115. I want to loose another 40 pounds but It is melting off a little slower but going to do it just might take me longer. more working out at the gym. but never thought I would loose as much as I did. since sept.. it can and will be done.
  2. my first three weeks were horrible and I was weak with being dizzy and everything. but on the 4th week I woke up a new woman. And its been 10 months and 115 pounds nothing but awesomeness(if that is still a word.)
  3. i quit almost 4 years ago on Thanksgiving. *( i know crazy day who dont like to light up after a good meal) but I stopped using chantix but only used it one month instead of3 months and it worked great. so glad . Even more now that I have seen the price of one pack. crazy..
  4. i am doing the jumping scales right now I will go two weeks and not loose nothing then the third week loose three pounds and the next week gain one back. but I know that is normal with this far out it is going to slow down I have lost over 100 and very happy with my progress just wish it was still falling off like in beginging. lol I am selfish I want it all now.
  5. yes I am going through the same thing now. They are just keeping a eye on my levels. they said its from fatty liver (imagine that. lol) but the only way to cure it is loose weight but if its not slowly it dont have time to catch up so it takes longer and sometimes even makes levels a little higher because putting stress on it. my doc will not let me take anything with tyleno at all. Dont stress about it..
  6. after 6 weeks I started going to the gym. I feel better after working out .
  7. pain meds to days post op. but the gas pain about a week after. three weeks felt weak and like crap 4th week was amazing felt better now amazing 3 months out.
  8. the day before I left the hospital they were giving me whole pills because I could not keep the crushed ones down. never have had trouble swallowing anything except vitamins they are huge.
  9. I feel better than I have in years. I was outside sleigh riding with my kids today and had no problem sitting my big but down on that sled and going down the hill with a kid on it with me and it was great and better yet the kids loved it. Best thing I have ever done hands down.nothing like spending the day in the snow with husband and kids to let you know how lucky you are.

  12. I dont eat much bread at all. I eat about a 1/4 cup of pasta if I eat it. If I have a sandwich I use half piece of bread of the 35 calorie. but I agree with the chips and salsa i have to watch myself. But I basically eat what I want only small amount. The surgeon wants me to stop eating before I am full but I am still learning what makes me full quickest. I am only 3 months out. But I can not even eat a small piece of bread stick. It came straight back up. no more for me and one day my son gave me a bite of a hotdog that is another thing I will never eat. Now for some reason I do not like the taste of chocolate any more still have not figured that one out. but have taken a few sips of frozen mocha's and use to love them more than life now I can not stand them. but as for popcorn if I am wanting to snack at night I grab a bag of 100 cal popcorn and eat a few bites.
  13. the first three weeks were hell for me. For different reasons but I just felt like crap. But for me the 4th week I dont know what happen but all of a sudden I started feeling a whole lot better and since then there has only been a couple of nasty moments. I am three months out now and I have lost over 90 pounds and I feel great now. I eat basically what I want just not very much of it. ( of course it's healthy) but that wasn't my problem I ate healthy just didn't get full and ate and ate until I ate enough for 3 people. I hope it gets better for you and one day you are going to wake up and be like wow i can walk and I am not out of breath and my knees dont hurt. At least that is how it was for me. good luck to you I wish you the very best.
  14. I guess I am like everyone else. eating too fast and wanting more than I can handle. I loved thanksgiving even when I was skinny without a weight problem. I dont cook we go to my in laws and she has some awesome deserts but I think I am going to do a little snacking all day. what a mean is a bite here and there and not actually sit down and eat a full meal. I do not want to over do it.I wish everyone a very blessed Thanksgiving and hope everyone can enjoy it..
  15. I was just hospitalized because a couple of weeks ago I had a sinus infection and they put me on z pack. And that very day I got sick and started puking I thought it was because of the infection but after finishing my meds and a week later still sick had to go to the hospital. They had to keep me there a week with iv fluids because I was so dehydrated and so sick at my stomach I didn't think I was going to live. And it was all because now that my stomach is small it does not tolerate the same meds as it use to. So all new out there be careful and if you feel sick stop taking them completely.Had to start on all liquids and work my way up to stage 3 before they would let me leave the hospital and I still have to take nausea meds. just wanted to let everyone know so maybe you dont have to go through what I did. of course they did all the nasty test to make sure no leaks or blocks. ( and believe me when you are sick at you stomach that stuff is not what you want to have to swallow..)
  16. I was 300 pounds and at 6 weeks almost 7 I have lost around 60 pounds. And the dr. told me I was loosing it faster than he thought.I would recommend this surgery to any one. And I had a very rough first 3 weeks.. But the 4th week I was a new person all together..
  17. Congrats that is great!!!! I am 6 weeks out and I went from 24 to 18's. such a great feeling... I agree best thing I ever did too.
  18. I always share with my husband now. Or my oldest son. He told us that since I can't get a adult meal he is old enough he can and we can share. I only take a few bites of what ever they get. My dr. gave me a card to give to any staff that seems to question us. But as to the rude remark tell them "bite me". lol not really but its none of there business why you dont want to eat.. And it is a lot cheaper my husband does not order a starter anymore because he does not want to eat that much in front of me. so he is losing weight too.
  19. the first time I thought I had a blood clot because everytime I breathed it about killed me. but my drainage tube had got caught between my ribs at my lung and when I breathed in it put preasure on my lung. the secound time was because I had kidney infection and thrush.
  20. I had the same problems now it has been a month and this week is the first week I have felt normal. yes I am at stage 4 but I only still eat about 2 ounces. but I feel great...I am at my stall at this moment and not lost but about 2 pounds the last two weeks but before that I have lost 52 pounds. it is worth it. I know now you are wondering I had to go back to the hospital twice in the first 2 weeks after surgery.. hang in there.
  21. This is going to sound crazy but take a baby spoon and use it. that way you dont take too big of bites, and eat super slow. there is some stuff that eat that do not hit me good at all. I wait another week or so then try again. I hope you feel better soon trust me I understand. I am just now starting to feel normal.
  22. thyroid problems is one of the main reasons I had the surgery... And it has already helped I am already taking a lower dose of med I was taking as high as you can for it.
  23. sorry I havent talked to you in awhile. I am doing better now. but I am on phase 4 and eating meat now. I am now taking a regular one a day for women but I cut it up in 3 pieces.I am not on facebook much but I am still going to call you. I have been getting sick every morning. nothing comes up just dry heaves but it hurts. I go back on oct 6. of course it easier for me since I am here. I hope it gets better for you too. Hope to talk to you soon sister sleever... still cant believe we had our first apt at same time then surgery on same day...
  24. thank you all. yes I think it was all the above and the last two days I have been keeping my vitamins down and I have been eating every 4 hours. not a lot but more than I was and of course drinking more and the last two days have been the best since I had the surgery. thanks for all the advice. I didn't realize I was not eating or drinking like i should.
