Feeling in stomach when I am upset

Recommended Posts

I am wondering if I am the only person that feels tightening in their stomach, since they have been sleeved.

It is extremely noticeable and almost feels like my whole stomach is constricted. I do not dare to eat until I calm down and feel my stomach to relax.

It is so strange. It will even happen if I am watching a show that is upsetting. Things that never made my stomach upset cause this feeling. I can not tell what will cause this to occur, but I am learning. I am just curious if anyone else has noticed this.

I know! That's the feeling my skinny friends were talking about! In my opinion my stomach was too big to notice anything. Now that it's a small delicate thing it has to be relaxed to get food in. I love this! Never before I had problems eating and I now love having them and saying that "I am too stressed to have lunch right now".

I actually dealt with this pre-op. My stomach would literally not allow me to eat anything of substance when I was overly stressed or upset.

After being sleeved, nothing has changed. My husband and I can have a huge blow-out argument, or be dealing with a high stress situation with his job, with our son, or with the pregnancy, and I end up only eating mushy food. It's not the comfort foods or junk food, but I really focus on eating yogurt, soft cheese, chili, or Soup just because I know that I'm not going to be able to really eat anything solid for a couple of hours.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
