Are there rules on other supplements?

I was looking at the supplements section at the grocery today and noticed a lot of new chewable items. One I am interested in is a chewable Omega oil supplement. I tried buying it a couple of times and the pills were so huge I couldn't get them down.

Does anyone know if there are any rules regarding taking other supplements after this surgery? Just the other day Dr. Oz was talking about a couple of supplements that address different issues (in this case memory) and my first thought was "wonder if it's okay after WLS".

Has anyone been given any guidance? Just winging it? And is there anything outside of the norm that you take on a regular basis and feel is a true benefit?

I didn't get the gummy fish oils but I might. The label swears they don't taste fishy but if they do I might just dip them in tartar sauce.

Thanks.
