I really can't stress enough at this point how happy I am about my choice. I know there is a lot of recovery left. But so far it has been better than I hoped for.

Congratulations pasquini on your new sleeve!

Welcome to the loser's bench. It feels so good. Congratulations and I wish you a quick recovery. It gets much easier everyday.

I am down 28 lbs today. From the start of the the preop 13 days ago. I went to good will and got 5 awesome shirts and 3 Jean that should fit for a week or two lol. For 21 bucks. Can't beat that. :). I am 6 day post op feel freakin awesome. No complications or problems so far. This has been great!

Holy cow! Congratulations! 28 lbs already? That included the 3-day liquid diet, surgery and recovery days, and a couple of days home and nothing else? That's amazing! Is that normal? I'm still scheduled for this Friday, and scared to death but extremely excited too.

BTW, my sis who had gastric bypass about a year ago highly recommends consignment shops once your weight gets lower and settles a bit - if you need nice clothes for work or special events. Excited to join you in the losing process and check it out for myself!

Well, I did a 5 day full liquid, then 3 days clear only then surgery 6 days ago. But yes that fast. I have no idea if it is normal. I will say I have not sat still since the second day after surgery. And since I got home Friday I have been up and going all day everyday.

Take it easy pasquini. You just had major surgery. Make sure you don't lift anything over 10 (ish) pounds for at least a month post op or you risk damage inside. I'm glad you're feeling so good!

So today is 10 days post op and 17 days since I started my preop diet. I am doing great. Had really bad reflux yestarday. I suppose I am going to start nexus or something. Because I couldn't get anything in yestarday hardly. I am down 33lb today in 17 days!!! Since I started preop. Fires up about that. So far no vomiting, no nausea no real pro lens. Woot! B

Well, I am not getting enough of anything in. I am struggling to get enough liquid and protien in. 30-35 oz is the most I have gotten in on any day. And until today 20 gems protien. Though today I have gotten 30 gr protein in. But my liquids have suffered. Fortunately I have not been tired or anything. :)

You are doing so awesome!! When you say you are having trouble getting the liquid in, is it due to the restriction, the taking the time to do it, or does it cause you pain or discomfort to drink?? I am just 4 days post-op and not having problems getting the liquid in. I have tried different temps and different flavors to give me some variety. Protein, I am not doing as well, but trying to get in as much as I can. Congrats on the 28 lbs!!!:becky:

:hippie:

Haha you are a poster child for this Pas! My doc says that getting all the fluids and Protein in takes a couple of weeks and for me he was right.

On another note, Panera Bread will also serve you just the broth from their chicken noodle Soup. Its pretty good lol.
