staples

I am having my surgery Wed. Did anyone have staples and did it hurt when they took them out?

No staples here, just steri strips over my incisions that fell off in about a week. I've heard that staples don't hurt when they come out though, it's just a weird feeling.

Good luck, we'll be thinking about you on Weds!

Hi Joyce!! I was banded by the same Dr that is doing your banding as was my sister and we both had staples. No pain at all when they took them out, more like a relief!

Hi Joyce,

I can vouch for the fact that staples don't hurt at all being removed. I hardly felt it at all. The material they're made of is sort of flexible, and bend easily when the doctor takes them out.

Not to worry!
