Someone mentioned Generic Drugs

Not too long ago someone mentioned that saving money on generic drugs isn't always beneficial. Sorry, I really do not recall who it was, might have been Tiffy! Anyway, I have been taking the generic for Prilosec since I about 4 weeks after surgery to save money. My hubby has been unemployed for 2 years now! Off track.... The other day, I said screw this, the acid is probably what is causing all this hunger and killing me in my efforts to lose this last 19 pounds! I have been picking at everything that is not nailed down! So, I got the Prilosec and took 1 last night, about 15 minutes later, that is all it took, the gurgling stopped!!! I was so happy! My husband even said he couldn't hear it anymore from the other side of the room that whatever i just took must have helped! I will never cheap out on the generic again for this!

I will start looking for coupons now!!!

YAY YAY Patti ! ! ! Make sure to take it on an empty stomach too. Wait an hour before eating really helps it last all day.

Coupons.com has coupons occasionally, and since I'm pretty coupon crazy, I actually order coupons from a clipping service in Florida. You can pick and choose which ones you want. Also, Prilosec typically goes on sale every 60-90 days in big retailers such as WalMart and Target, try to keep your eye out on prices and notice when it goes on sale. It'll go down 2-3 bucks and then back up. I've seen coupons for up to $5-$8 bucks off depending on the tablet count.

If I run across any, I'll message you ! ! !

Yep, my experience was with a generic version of Miralax, just did NOT work. Sometimes they work sometime they don't.

Hey Tiff, thanks, I'll check that out for the coupons! yes, i did get it on sale for like $4 off regular price at Stop & Shop! with a $8 coupon that would have been sweet!!!

Rootman, that was it the Miralax!! See, we all have our quirks! Glad you figured your out too!!

yep I'm with tiff on that one I never take generic drugs when I can get the real thing..The little bit of money your saving is not worth it in the long run. I agree with yall I just don't think it works as well..
