I'm home and fully banded. It was a long two weeks on Optifast but a great 13 pound head start pre-op that ended with me just about locking myself in the OR washroom....lol Had to remember why I was doing it..one look in the mirror answered that question and thinking back to my mom and her "no big deal " knee replacement just reinforced why I should just suck it up and get in there.
I think just laying there with my eyes closed was the best thing. Within 1 minute of the IV going in....I was driffing and woke without too much pain, no nasea (thank goodness) and for the next few hours, just drifted in and out of sleep.
I was banded Thursday by Dr. Mumford in Mississauga, On. and home early that afternoon. Some sharp shoulder pain for the first couple of days when I would lay back but fine sitting up right. No other issues outside of the pain of trying to burp but it eventually makes it's way up.......Good greif, I hope I never get the hiccups!!!!!
Now the real countdown begins! :clap2:
