I have been trying my best to have this operation. i was sent a book from my insurance company and found a few sergeons. The first one, went to the seminor and followed throw with all my appts. When I was to meet the nutrinoust, boy how things have changed. I was to pay a total of 4,000. for food pills and so on. I even had to get a co-signer.Well I called and told them I would go with a different plan, (much less) than I call my doctors office after 3 weeks of waiting to hear from them. I had no idea what I was in for," Oh, we don't take your insur. anymore".....that was it, my depression had ski-rocketed.I had lost a total of 18 lbs since , I was 350lbs and my BMI was 54.2.....now I am 330 and my BMI is 52. I have came so far and just can't give up. The next one was the same. If there is anyone out there who has been throw this , please help me find a dependable doctor or the right insurance. I have Medicaid and Affinity. In hopeing this Year is going to be the best for those who has had there surgery and are doinfg well... Thank you Ms. Elite53

So sorry to hear about your insurance problems. If I were you I would talk to you primary care physician and/or your insurance company. As for the office that said they don't take your insurance anymore, maybe you could work something out with the insurance company that they will reimburse you for the costs or something since they were the ones who told you to go to that surgical group. Don't give up! Good luck!!!
