How long did you wait to work out after surgery?

I was wondering how many weeks you had to wait to workout and what type of exercise you did. I haven't been able to work out due to my broken lapband tubing because it is so painful and I feel horrible. One more week until that is over with and I have my sleeve. I know I need to walk right away, but I was curious when you went back to the gym. Thanks!

I did the same thing. Couldn't sleep for 4 days even with ambien.

But once I started getting the Vitamins in & the Water, I started feeling better. I was exhausted!!!

Don't worry about stretching it. Measure, measure, measure your food. Weigh it or use a measuring cup. And when you burp or feel pressure, stop. You are full! It's hard to adjust to so little making you full. My brain doesn't agree with my stomach. But I listen to my stomach.

I burp everytime I drink water. I am still a little nervous to start solids. Would it be ok for me to stick to the liquid diet longer? I am never hungry so am I supposed to force feed myself? I Have been drinking Protein and chicken broth and have been completely satisfied. Should I hold out? I don't know. What did you eat for your first meal and how much. Just wondering.

Thanks for the support. Its good to now I wasn't the online who couldn't sleep.

The next stage for me was cream Soups. I think you could take a few extra days if you wanted to but your doctor is trying to get you ready for (eventually) solids. As long as you are getting in your Protein & Vitamins.

I burped a lot too on fluids & got full. But when the swelling goes down it gets easier.
