First post - Day 73 post op Hello!

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I'm a 34 yo young woman who is very grateful for this forum. I can't tell you all what a great support group this is. I have spent hours and hours and hours here reading posts and finding answers to my questions. Thank you for being here.

I'm day 73 post op. I feel like i'm not losing as much as i should be, but i've found myself not exercising as much as i should be. I'm trying to make a commitment to myself to do so so that i can do this the right way. After a 3 week stall, i want that weight to come off! Thanks for listening and hello to all.

You are doing great! I still sometimes compare myself to others and don't always like my progress either. I don't know if it would help you but booklean started an thread under the exercise section where each week we pledge how much we are going to exercise and we try to encourage each other. The exercise thing has still not become a habit for me either and that scares me because it is such a vital part of the long term success. We can cheer each other on though! Come join us!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
