For the ladies...TOM, Water Retention, hunger?

I've always been one who swells up and retains Fluid around that time of the month. Like my rings are tighter, my ankles are a little swollen, and my back starts killing me.

So I'm wondering if it's ok to take stuff like Midol or Pamprin to help with that and if not....can we take a diuretic?

Also, did you experience more hunger during that time? I have no idea if it's related or not but I've been really experiencing hunger the past couple of days.

Thanks girls!

I'd ask your doctor what you can use... your still healing. I have crippling cramps and my doc gave me some codine and muscle relaxers so I didn't have to take NSAIDS.

I for one felt hunger right before my period. My cycle is really screwed up right now, and I think even with the pill it will take months for me to get back to a regular cycle. I did experience my "emotional" up and down and my food cravings...both passed pretty quickly.

I am going through this right now too!

I go up a couple of pounds normally and I want to snack on nothing but junk!

I especially want sweets during this time.

I have been drinking a really good blueberry antioxidant hot tea and so far its been working.

Good Luck!
