How to sip without getting in air. . .

I am sipping tiny amounts but it seems no matter how small I always seem to swallow air and can only stand a few sips. . . any suggestions. . . I am not getting hardly any protein shakes down. . . besides ice cubes thats the only thing I am trying to drink. . . .well about an ounce of apple juice. . . sleeved six days ago. . .Thanks!!!!!!!!:thumbup1:

I had a lot of gas post op and didn't want to injest ANY more. I would take a sip and then hold it in my mouth till it all settled (10secs or so) and then swallow. It seemed to help. I'm 12 days out now and its not such an issue.

STCYT is right. Let it settle in the back of your throat, exhale through your nose and swallow. That has helped me reduce gas intake immensely.
